ACF Atlanta Chefs March Newsletter Print

President's Message

Hello to all Members & Partners,

Spring is in the air and all the trees are blossoming which brings both beautiful flowers and terrible allergies. This coming March brings The Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta Georgia Golf most prestigious us golf tournament, if anyone is interested in working this event, please reach out to us so we can connect you with the team at Augusta National Golf Club. They are always looking to hire culinary staff for the week of the tournament.

Recently I had the joy to travel to Orlando Florida and attend NAFEM The largest gathering of Food Equipment Manufacturers in North America. While there we were able to visit with multiple manufactures that supply many of our members with equipment and all the new equipment being launched this year. The big push was AI and how it is being used in all the equipment now. Equipment that tells you when something is wrong with your equipment.

On Fen 18th we also had the pleasure of helping our ACF Atlanta Board Member Isaiah Alexander Simon, Jr.  With the Chaine Des Rotisseurs June’s Chef Culinary Competition, two young chefs compete for the chance to represent the USA in the World Championship. These chefs came from The Biltmore Hotel and International Culinary Institute.

We have a busy Spring schedule with Meetings on March 27th at Master Marketing “MEAT & Greet @ Master Marketing”- April 17th Technology Kitchens @ The Hansen Group - May 22nd The Burger Bash @ Buckhead Meats. We look forward to see each and every one of you there.

This year the ACF National Convention is being held in New Orleans with the local host chapter from New Orleans and the National ACF team working to produce an amazing time for all of our members this year. If you have not registered yet please do hotels and registration will fill up soon and prices will increase the longer you wait.

As this New Year starts, I ask all members at all levels to come and get involved, any level and any amount. I look forward to see each and every one of you at the next ACF Atlanta Chefs Association event. Thank You

We are not a team because we work together.

We are a team because we respect, trust and care for each other.

All the Best,

Chef Nick Barrington, CEC, ACE
