ACF-Atlanta Chefs Association Welcomes New Executive Director

The ACF-Atlanta Chefs Association is proud to announce that Polly Barrington will take over the executive director position recently vacated by Cheryl Glass. Polly comes to us from the Athens Country Club in Athens, GA. A 30-year veteran of the hospitality sector, Polly, a Certified Sommelier, holds a degree in Hospitality Management from Valencia College and specializes in high-level event management and employee development. In her role, Polly will assist the Chapter President in the daily operations of the organization as well as oversee media and public relations.

Upon accepting the position, Polly noted, “Continuing to expand our membership and the professional development opportunities we offer members as they advance in their careers, will truly create a powerful force for the food service industry and the local community. I am looking forward to building on the great foundation that has been developed over the last few decades.”

Polly is a long-time member and supporter of the American Culinary Federation. As a previous member of the ACF Central Florida Chapter, Polly has participated in numerous Chapter events including community and charity fundraisers, meetings and networking sessions, culinary competitions, food shows, student engagement and development, and host planning for ACF National Conventions.

Polly’s earlier work experiences spans over 20 years working for Walt Disney World in multiple roles including Operations Development and Training Manager, Guest Service Manager, and Sommelier. In addition, she has more than five years’ experience working in management position within prominent private clubs. Please join us as we welcome Mrs. Polly Barrington to our organization.
