Virtual Culinary Competition Schedule

Monday Feb. 1st – Announcement of Competition with Category & Competitors Level

Monday Feb. 8th – Competition begins – Category & Competitors Level

Thursday Feb. 11th – All entries due by 3pm & Competitors notified that evening

Friday Feb. 13 – Posting will have 2 days to get likes (Friday & Saturday)

Winners announced on Monday Feb. 15th at 3pm!!

 

How to sign up for this Month’s ACF-ACA competition

(Members & Non-Members are Welcome, but limited to 15 per skill set)

Students – High School (max 15) / Tech. Schools (max 15)

Savory Category – Tonight’s Dinner

Dessert Category – What’s for Dessert

 

Once the Category and Level is announced – Email Director@ACFAtlantaChefs.org with the following information:

  • A picture of dish
  • List of ingredients – That incudes Farm Fresh Ingredients
  • Category & School
  • Contact information & social media handles
  • Enter By Thursday 3pm of that week
  • Up to 15 competitors will be selected per Category

 

Once Selected – Post ONE (1) picture with a caption on your dish on Friday Morning to the following site: Instagram tag @ACFAtlanta

  • Likes and Comments – Must tag 5 friends on photo to like/comment/share; tag @ACFAtlanta
  • You will have 2 days to get as many likes, comments & shares as possible
  • Judges will judge on Sunday evening at 4pm
  • Winners announced on Monday at 3pm!!

 

Prizes – Chapter Medals / Certificates & Gift Cards

1st Place – Gold ACF Chapter Medal / Certificate of Excellence

2nd Place – Silver ACF Chapter Medal / Certificate of Excellence

3rd Place – Bronze ACF Chapter Medal / Certificate of Excellence

 

**All Winners will be featured with their dish on Social Media / ACF Website

Awards will be handed out on shortly

**Honorable Mention for all entries receives a Certificate of Excellence**

1 CEH will be given for participation in this event.

 

ACF Atlanta Judging Qualifications / Score Card

Judging Criteria –  Fair = properly prepared all ingredients, created a visibly appealing entry with good contrast and textures, had 5 likes/comments/shares Good = elevated assigned ingredients, great knife skills or, created unexpected visual appeal, had 5-10 likes/comments/shares Excellent = used science or manipulated the ingredients, Exceptional Knife skills, Visual appeal unparalleled, had more than 10 likes/comments/shares
Use of Ingredients – Your Choice – Must have Farm Fresh Ingredients
Creativity-Description – Use skills to elevate and innovate the creation; describe everything on picture
Likes and Comments – Must tag 5 friends on photo to like/comment/share; tag @ACFAtlanta to enter competition
